Holiday Home Listing, Not Just for Santa...

Turkey feasts, family gatherings, Christmas shopping, and New Year celebrations do not seem to leave much time for buying or selling a home.
In general, the holidays are not the best time of year to list a home, however this is easier to navigate in Southern California because our climate has much less of an affect on home sales. Similarly, new construction homes, remodeling, and the tiny-home movement, which all persist with very little limitation in Southern California, continue to grow our region’s bustling production options.
Nationwide, the trend is generally a decline in both sales and listings during the holiday season because potential buyers are typically spending their money on gifts and travel. But there are advantages for both buyers and sellers during this time of year:
Buyers have an advantage because there are less people to compete with.
Sellers list because they may have to close by a certain date on another purchase.
Sellers have an advantage because there is less market competition which can help drive their final sales profits.
In short, don’t let the holiday season stress you out in terms of Real Estate. If you are making the decision to buy or sell now, I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities on both sides of the coin. Also, if you get to enjoy some extra time off of work during this season, call me now to get pre-approved.
